Short answer: GoLove wins here, and not because the feature list is longer. It wins because the photos you ask for and the voice you call run on the same memory as the text thread. Continuity is the product.

Chat Quality: Scripted vs. Adaptive

Who GoLove.ai Is NOT For

• The zero-payment reader. Free GoLove is real — two Stars daily, chat, Explore — but it's a sampler. Generation and the Feed both meter out. If your requirement is "unlimited forever, never pay," this isn't your app, and Character.AI's genuinely usable free tier (ads and peak-hour waits, but unlimited messaging) or Janitor AI's free built-in JLLM model will serve you better. Both are narrower elsewhere. On that one axis, they win outright.
• The app-store purist. GoLove is a web app with a mobile bottom nav (Explore, Chat, Create, Generate, Feed) that behaves like a native install — but it isn't one. If you want an icon from an official store and nothing else will do, Replika and Character.AI ship polished native apps.
• Anyone treating this as a relationship substitute. It's a companion experience with memory and voice, and it's very good at being exactly that. It isn't therapy, and it isn't a person. Go in knowing which one you're buying.
